Transparent formulas
Payment estimates use the standard fixed-rate amortization formula. Inputs and limitations are shown on each calculator page.
About
We publish free calculators and explainers so U.S. buyers can estimate payments, trade-in equity, and interest before visiting a dealer.
Who we are
AutoLoanLabs is an independent site focused on transparent auto finance math: amount financed, net trade-in equity, amortization, and scenario comparison. We do not sell loans, collect applications, or broker lender offers.
Content is reviewed by AutoLoanLabs Editorial for formula accuracy, disclosure clarity, and source citations. Contact: [email protected].
How we work
Payment estimates use the standard fixed-rate amortization formula. Inputs and limitations are shown on each calculator page.
Net trade-in equity equals trade-in value minus remaining payoff. Positive equity lowers amount financed; negative equity can raise it if rolled into the new loan.
Results are planning estimates only. They are not loan approval, a credit offer, insurance advice, or a legal APR disclosure.
Review criteria and update practices are documented in the editorial policy.
